An error message from the Amtrak website:
Problem with Too Many Children: Our fare rules provide that no more than two children per adult may travel at the children’s discounted fare. Children exceeding that 2:1 ratio must travel at the standard adult fare. To continue, re-characterize any children exceeding the 2:1 ratio as “adults”. Please note that infants (under age 2) do not count as children for the purpose of determining an acceptable adult/child ratio.
