First of all, this title block is beautiful.

It’s the title to a map and profile of the Kanawha River, showing water elevations, distances, and everything lse you’d need to know about navigation infrastructure on the Kanawha River.

I’m a sucker for plan/profile displays like this. Another great set of examples are the “BIGOT” maps of the D-Day landing sites I saw in National Geographic in 2001. These maps show a photograph of the beach below a map of the shoreline and land above the cliffs.
